a snowy Christmas Eve walk

Home for the Holidays

Being back in Kamloops for the holidays has been so nice. There is snow, family and time to relax and read! We've spent most of the vacation eating and visiting friends and family. Pretty great so far :)

The Nutcracker

On friday night we went on a date to see The Nutcracker Ballet at the Queen Elizabeth theater. It was absolutely beautiful. The way the ballerinas made it look as if they were floating across the stage was breathtaking.
I'm pretty lucky to have a husband that prefers to go to the ballet or the symphony over going to a sports game :).

We love kettle corn!

Night biking

My grocery transport helper :)

I love sundays!

Stew cooking in the crock pot, chai tea in my mug and a good book.

a few fall pictures from my phone...

so much fun!

The past few days have been sunny, but very crisp, and have felt like the perfect fall days. The way the sun makes all the different coloured leaves look and being all bundled up in my boots and favourite scarf just does something that makes me happy. Needless to say, I am enjoying the sunny fall days back in Vancouver, but the hot, hot days in Mexico with my husband were perfect as well ;). We slept in, read tons of books, sat in the shade by the pool, swam, and just relaxed and enjoyed each others company. A pretty fantastic way to spend 10 days if you ask me.  (time to start saving again for the next trip :))

we're going to mexico!!

..for 10 whole days. just the two of us, and i couldn't be more excited!!

this isn't mexico (it's from my hen's weekend before my wedding), but this is what I'll be wearing in less than two weeks! hooray!

2 years

this august 7th was our 2 year wedding anniversary.  i loved our wedding day, and i still look at the pictures and smile thinking about how much love and fun our day was filled with.
i love you jordan.

death by coffee...

...for my cell phone that is. I'm one of those people who isn't fantastic when it comes to technology, and I have been completely content with my clunky flip phone for 4 years. Unfortunately, my clumsy nature showed its face and my lovely red oldie took a dive into my mug of coffee. As a result I have been forced to update my cell phone to something a little more fancy....and much harder to use. However, I love having a camera on my new phone, and it is pretty fun being able to go on the internet with it... even if my computer is only a few feet away hehe.

pretty park by our house where I love to hangout and read.

tattoo anyone?

Last night Jordan gave me a leg and foot full of beautiful tattoos while we listened to classical music. Pretty great way to spend an evening I would say ;).

my sweet husband...

This morning my sweet husband (who is not a coffee drinker at all) made me my morning coffee while I was being lazy and pretending to sleep on the couch. It was perfect :)

over the weekend...

We made a quick trip back to Kamloops for the weekend to see the Jones' and so that Jordan could get a few skydives in. We spend most of the day on Saturday at the Jones' house. They have the most amazing backyard and the weather was beautiful. Scarlet is 21 months old now, and she has got the sweetest personality! She is so fun and hilarious, and Jordan couldn't get enough kisses and cuddles from her. This trip I finally got to meet new baby Janey too! (she was born on April 26th) She was napping when I had my camera out, so I didn't get any pictures of her this time. She is so sweet too and has just the tiniest bit of red hair. We can't wait to see her and Scarlet grow up and become friends with our little babies (whenever they come along haha).

banana muffins!

I love baking (especially the eating part after), but it sure heats the house up on a warm day. I'm just sweating over here after taking these out of the oven. Yikes.
baking cookies :)
